How old do you have to be to join the Meriden Senior Citizens’ Center?”
Meriden residents aged 55 and over are eligible to join the Senior Center. The age requirement is based on the federal Older Americans’ Act which funds nutrition, transportation and other social services for senior citizens across the United States. The only exception is for married couples, in cases where one spouse is not yet 55, both spouses are allowed to become Senior Center members.
