January 28 - KITS ARE STILL AVAILABLE!! In honor of January being National Radon Action Month, the Meriden Health and Human Services Department is offering a limited number of free radon test kits to residents. Kits will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis starting at 8:30am Monday, January 5, 2015, in the Environmental Health office at 165 Miller Street. Please use the Clinic entrance.

In order to receive a kit, all residents will have to sign a sheet with their name, address, phone number, and email address. Follow-up to ensure the kit is used may be done by Health Department staff. When you use the kit results will be mailed to you by the kit manufacturer.

The kits were provided by the Connecticut Department of Public Health’s Radon Program.

  

Tobacco Free Tuesday group meetings are held every Tuesday 5:30-7:00pm in our Clinic office. This free group is for those looking to be smoke-free in 2015, and for those who have quit and want to come share some tips and success stories.
