The Meriden Department of Health and Human Services is comprised of four major divisions: Health, Youth Services, Social Services and Senior Affairs. We have a long history of providing services to the citizens of Meriden through outreach, collaboration, education, program offerings and community involvement. Our Department is under the direction of Lisa Pippa, MPH.

News You Can Use:
New (May 14, 2013) - Don't Fry Day is the Friday before Memorial Day. This day encourages sun safety awareness and reminds us to protect our skin while enjoying the outdoors. Our Clinic office will be giving out free sunscreen samples on May 24, from 8:30-4:00pm (or until supplies last!).
New (April 30, 2013) - The 43rd annual Special Day for Special People outing will be held on June 8, 2013.
We have whooping cough vaccine available. Check out this great infographic on why it is so important for pregnant women, parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters and caretakers of young children to get the vaccine!
