Does anyone remember Countryside Dairy? I remember as a child going there for ice cream. It was on the Chamberlain Highway in Meriden.

  Yes I do remember.I went there many times.Run by the Barillaro Family.I went to school at Wilcox Tech with David and Peter Barillaro!Its now the Target Store right across from the Mall.

I found a wooden box in an antique store in Allen, Michigan with the original sticker of J.T. Clements Jeweler and diamond Merchant - address of 20 W. Main St., Meriden Conn. I am just wondering if anyone can help in trying to guess its age?

  Clements Jewlers was located right next to the courthouse/ police station courtyard, essentially between the courtyard and the senior center. They only recently went out of business probably like 5 years ago (give or take a year...). Before that I ...

  I remember Clements being on Main St in the 40's and 50's, but don't know when they went out of business. So your box could possibly be 50 to 80 years old. Vincent Guidace, Annandale, VA.
