was wondering if Meriden USA had any connections with Jersey channel Islands. Just that my house is named Meriden and was looking up the history to this name?

Meriden, CT was named after the home town of the founder who was from Meriden, England. Check Wikipedia Encyclopedia or do a search for "Meriden England" to find more links. There is also a Meriden in Australia.

In the late 60's, I believe the Grusse family lived there. That's about all I know on the subject.

i've heard rumors of the city starting up an adult flag football league. I think this would be a fantastic idea! Anyone know if this is true or where I can find more information? Thanks

Played in the old touch football league in Meriden in the 70's. Great time ! Lot of blood was spilled too. Wish I could still play.
