Entry Level Police Officers - Meriden 
The City of Meriden announces an open recruitment process for the position of Entry Level Police Officer. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination, drug screening, physical ability test, thorough background investigation, polygraph, psychological, oral interview and physical examination. You must take and pass the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association written test in order to submit your application on line at Policeapp.com. Application Process: You must have tested as of September 30, 2014. It is essential that you read the attachments on the policeapp.com website prior to submitting your online application. Communication regarding the testing schedule, test results, and advancement in this testing processes will rely ONLY by email. Therefore, you must check your email often and log onto PoliceApp.com to view updates. POST Certified Police Officers - Meriden 
The City of Meriden announces an open recruitment seeking CT POST Certified Officers for the position of Police Officer. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination (the test will be taken from the Connecticut Law Enforcement Officers Field Manual), and oral interview. Candidates must pass the Cooper standards prior to hire (40%). The process also includes a background investigation, polygraph, psychological, and physical examination with drug screen. To apply, go to www.policeapp.com and complete the online application. Starting salary is $65,436.80 with an excellent benefit package. Candidates must be POST Certified through June 30, 2015. CLOSING DATE for this process is Friday, August 15, 2014. Test date will be Thursday, September 4, 2014, 3:00 P.M. at the Meriden Police Department, Training Room, 50 West Main Street, Meriden. You must also complete the background packet which is on the web site and must be returned to Lt. Sal Nesci or Sgt.
