WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) provides education

and healthy foods to eligible participants.

 

Who is eligible for WIC?

Pregnant Women  
Mothers up to one year post pregnancy if breast-feeding, up to six months if not 
Children under five years old


Participants must also:  

Live in Connecticut
Have a nutritional need for WIC foods, based on medical and/or nutritional assessment
Have an income that falls within the financial guidelines established by the United States Department of Agriculture (see below)

 For example, a family of four can make up to $42,643 gross income (before taxes) a year to be income eligible.
