Honor Guard

The Meriden Police Department Honor Guard is composed of twenty dedicated police officers who march in Meriden parades, present the colors at ceremonial events, and represent the Department at memorial services.  The current Honor Guard has been active in over ten years and represents the Meriden Police Department at over 20 functions per year.  Officer Hector Cardona Sr is the Commander of the Honor Guard.
Officer Cardona is a 25 year member of the department and has served as a Patrol Officer, Community Police Officer, External Affairs Officer and Towing Enforcement Officer.  He coordinates the scheduling of all members of the Honor Guard for parades and special events.
