Message to taxpayers : In 1995, I stated that I will do my best to serve not only City Council Area 4 but the whole City.  I do believe I have done so.  I will continue to serve the community the best I can to achieve a better quality of life for all Meriden residents.

Some of my accomplishments:
Initiated, lobbied and received a new Fire Inspector for the Fire Marshall’s office
Initiated and lobbied Meriden Board of Education to adopt a policy that all Juniors prior to graduating to their senior year be certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Initiated and lobbied City Council to develop and appoint a Building Committee to oversee construction projects to keep cost over-runs down
Initiated and lobbied the City and the State of Connecticut to pass legislation to double traffic fines for speeders in school zones. State law as of 10/98.
Initiated and lobbied the City Council to adopt the States first Adopt a Fire Hydrant Program, this program has been very helpful with the help of the Neighborhood Associations taking care of the fire hydrants in their area. By keeping the fire hydrants clean of snow and debris during the year the fire hydrants are ready to be used in case of a fire emergency.
Initiated and lobbied City Council to purchase used police cars for the community policing division saving approximately $280,000
Lobbied City Council to keep the proposed Sludge Plant out of South Meriden, sludge plant plan was voted down and will not be in South Meriden.
Lobbied City Council and approved to equip all front line police cars with Tazer Units for less lethal force messages.
